Welcome to Greatland Excursions

Alaska is a Mecca for the upland bird hunter. Vast areas to hunt from popple stands to agricultural fields there are as much variety in lands as there are of grouse. Here are a few species of birds you will have an opportunity to hunt:

Willow Ptarmigan
Rock Ptarmigan
Ruffed Grouse
Sharp Tail Grouse
Blue Grouse
Spruce Grouse

We have very long seasons on these birds and very liberal bag limits. Best hunting is offered in early fall for most grouse species; we also offer good winter season Ptarmigan hunting.

Package 1
This is a 4-day 3-night hunt done out of our custom motor homes. We will hunt the Delta Junction to Manley area. This includes transportation from Wasilla to Delta, guides, dogs, all meals and lodging by motor homes and bird cleaning.

We will have guns available for lease and ammo available for sale.

There is a three person minimum on this hunt. Please call for a quote.

Package 3
Greatland Excursions offers a unique package for the Alaskan upland bird hunter. It is our "Custom Farm Raised Bird Hunts" for Pheasant, Chucker, and Quail. These birds are raised in our custom pens which keep the birds as wild as possible, we exercise all of the birds to ensure they are strong fliers.

These hunts are a special opportunity for the serious upland bird hunter. We are currently holding these hunts in the Matanuska Valley and the pristine Kenai Peninsula.

All Upland Bird Hunts are for a minimum of 3 people and 15 bird minimum.

This is a fully guided hunt.

Dogs are provided if needed, or you are welcome to use your own. We will be glad to help you with any training problems during the course of the hunt if you'd like.
